Practical viking axe (non-forged)

I made the axe head out of a larger woodaxe head, probably reduced it to roughtly half its original size.
The shaft is store bought and rubbed with bees wax
the neck guard is 3~ mm thick rawhide, soaked and stretched  to make the shaft last longer.

the head itself is not really based off any historic axe head, really just an approximation given it was made via stock removal, but i am damn pleased with it!
even left the original maker marks on it, gives it that nice, well loved tool vibe.
Yet to be field tested but it feels good to swing
